When I first looked at Black Dove by Ana Castillo I thought that it was going to be very boring and it was in some places. There were many ideas that Ms. Catillo presented, but the one that stuck out most to me was the unfairness of the law and the people around her. When Ms. Castillo introduced this topic she started with being arrested because of the color of her skin and later in the book she tells of how her son got arrested.
