Imagine you were in a life or death situation would you lie to get out of it? Lying is sometimes justified when you are lying to protect someone in a life or death situation.
First of all, lying is only okay if it is a life or death situation. From the article, “Brad Blanton: Honestly Tell the Truth,” by Barbara Ballinger, Blanton states, “Yes, but we shouldn’t manipulate the truth except in rare times-if you’re hiding Anne Frank in your attic because her life is in danger,” (Blanton paragraph 11). Clearly, this shows that lying is only okay in certain situations.
