This essay will present how the media should handle itself during political campaigns; including what the agenda should be and how it should be framed. After examining the media’s take on Donald Trump’s rally after the presidential debate, it can be argued that the media should have covered this, but it should have been covered more effectively. CNN writer Gregory Krieg’s article titled, “Donald Trump’s weekend meltdown”, presents Donald Trump after the Presidential Debate. Trump was in Manheim, Pennsylvania on October 1st during this “meltdown” for a rally. However, Krieg only has quotes said by Trump to summarize the rally; the only thing written by Krieg is a paragraph in the beginning. Nevertheless, During the rally Krieg states that, “the republican presidential nominee questioned Hillary …show more content…
This is evident by Trump stating he won the debate and commenting on Clinton’s faithfulness. Furthermore, Trump only spoke for a little over an hour, according to Krieg, which presents that Trump did not delve into policy talk. In fact, the article does not present any form of policy Trump could have mentioned; Trump only answered questions about Clinton, Sanders, and the debate. However, did this article present Trumps rally accurately at all? This article was right in covering Trump’s rally and presenting his newfound views. Furthermore, the articles agenda was to show us how Trump was reacting poorly to the aftermath of the presidential debate which should absolutely be covered; this gives
