Speech to the Virginia Convention

The messages provided by Patrick Henry's "Speech to the Virginia convention" , he convinces the Virginia house man to declare war against the British by using main rhetorical devices such as ethos, Allusions, Imagery, and diction. In the speech Patrick Henry uses ethos to send a message so we men could form an army of our own and we could declare war against British army. The discrimination has to stop says Patrick Henry , because people's opinions keeps them from getting were we need to be and unable to speak there truth and the controversy will not stop until we declare war against the British. The colonist believe they should be treated equal and be able to fight for their rights.

Allusions comes from the colonists and Patrick's thoughts. The thoughts from the colonists are leading them to a dark side of hell and destruction, but the Virginia house man are foolish because they are the ones are going to suffer and be screwed if the colonist start the destruction. The eyes and ears that betray us will be punished for treason meaning the betrayal cause a punishment that leads them to a conflict. The longer Patrick Henry and the colonist waits the Virginia house man will start to see the madness and the destruction rapidly coming to them.

Knowing the British have a lot of power and are in controlled of everything brings Patrick painful images of not achieving their goal to declare war against British. Patrick Henry speech will conquered the hold back the Virginia House man are causing. The speech mentioned from Patrick tells the Virginia House man to stop the darkness from rising up and put it back to the way it was, but if only the colonist could declare war it will stop the madness and it'll benefit the colonist.
