This book is true to life experience from the author. Linda Tirado has lived most of her adult life living in poverty or on the brink to poverty. She has working for minimum wage, most of her adult life and has a first-hand experience with the struggles of a life in poverty. She shares with the readers her experience on how those in poverty are treated with little if any respect and how they struggle daily just to make ends meet. The book gives examples of challenges those in poverty face and the lack of support from both the government and the private sector.
