I consider this is a good preliminary abstract. I would give you four suggestions: one reconsider your voice in your writing. For instance instead of saying: In my paper I am going to discuss Seligman’s concept of learned helplessness and children who grow up in poverty situations, and how these individuals develop a sense of helplessness once they reach adulthood. Consider the following: This paper aims to discuss Dr. Martin Seligman’s concept of learned helplessness regarding children who grew up in poverty…Two, once you have finished your paper’s body, return to the abstract and include a very brief summary of your job to call the reader's attention. Three, on your abstract, mention all the topics you are going to be addressing on your paper.
