“Such a shame what a nice person he/she was who would have known that he/she could break a law and be taken in for it” this has been used by plenty of people throughout the years. Many say this when they find out that the person they thought they knew committed a crime and got sent to prison for it but what most don't know is that they themselves could have broken a law or two without thinking about it. Frank Trippett in the passage talks about how Americans who could never see themselves as law breakers, seem to be the ones who break the laws the most. The minor laws that they break that are made to protect and nourish society, are being broken by its own people. The author supports his claim by giving a couple examples of laws that have been broken many times over and over again. The author’s purpose here is to point out and make sure the Americans reading his passage think about what they do with their life and how many different times they have broken a law or two. What most don't see is that it could cause and accident that could hurt not only them but millions of other on the same road they are on. Speed has been a thing for people who like to have adrenaline rush while in any type of vehicle. These kinds of laws are broken every day by people who like to have that rush thus creating accident and putting the nourished a protected society at risk and or ruin. Laws are supposed to be followed and not broken. The slogan “you’re a fool if you obey the rules” means nothing if rules are followed more people there wouldn't be so many people dying or being harmed because of these broken
