Brian Jacques brings Martin the Warrior to life through this epic tale of bravery, honor, and friendship. Based in a Medieval time in Mossflower Woods, animals struggle to survive with their new ruthless ruler. Deep in the woods, Martin the Warrior was traveling through the peaceful forest until the soldiers of Kotir captured him and considered him a trespasser. He was a prisoner of the wildcat King Verdauga Greeneyes. King Verdauga did not necessarily want to harm the mouse like his daughter Tsarmina did, who was a vicious and cruel kitty. AKA princess. Her brother, Gingivere, however, was more compassionate, and didn’t see the need to harm Martin as his sister did. Verdauga put him in prison for awhile until he decided
