After reading both passages, I found "The Deception of Hitler" by Albert Speer, most interesting to me. Many textbooks and documents depict Hitler as a ruthless and evil Dictator, but in this passage, it gave the reader a whole new portrayal of Hitler from Speer's point of view. One thing I learned from this passage was that Hitler wanted to become an architect. This sounded crazy to me considering Hitler, commander of the Third Reich, wanted to actually construct buildings. Mr. Speer stated, "Hitler sat in front of the big fireplace, staring for hours into the flames." This is a perfect example of foreshadowing, but I will not get into detail. This statement could possibly show how Hitler was a victim of social problems and anger issues. He
