“Unbroken” is about a teenager named Lauren who faces the pain and challenges of having cancer. Lauren was perfectly healthy until May 2012, when her mom had discovered an unusual bump on Lauren’s stomach. Once the doctors examined Lauren they had found out that Lauren had a type of cancer called neuroblastoma. To treat this deadly disease, Lauren had to go through multiple types of therapy ; radiation therapy, antibody therapy, and chemotherapy. Some of the side effects that would come along with the treatments would include sickness, loss of hair, sores in mouth that would make it hard to eat or drink, nausea, and fatigue.
