In The Shallows, by Nicholas Carr (2011), implies that everyday use of the internet has weakened his focus when he uses his mind for purposes other than the internet. He says he has proof of this by the saying that he used to be able to immerse himself into an article and able to stay there for hours upon hours; " the more they use the Web; the more they have to fight to say focused on long pieces of writing." The writer has implied the less of the internet we use the more focus we will have available to us. He says that this goes for everybody but more for the younger age because the older ones haven't used the internet as much as the younger ones.
