This paper is the observation from exhibition for Field Trip 1: Sniedz Janson-Rungis: Altars & Myths. This exhibition was in Richmond Center for Visual Arts Monroe-Brown Gallery. We went to the exhibition on January 24th at 4:00 and we took a look for all paintings in the exhibition. Also, we took a picture for one of them that we need to observe information about. This exhibition was done by Janson-Rungis which live in the house. Most of Janson-Rungis sculptures take inspiration from the body.
This artwork belongs to the artist Lina Puerta and it was made in 2014. In this artwork, there are many materials that Lina used to make, such as basket, polyurethane, foam, concrete, fabric, leather, faux fur, beads, acrylic sheeting, artificial moss, Swarovski crystals, and flocks.

It is a small painting and it has slots like windows. There are many different colors that she used such as brown, crimson. Orange, golden, green. yellow, silver, and maroon. Each of these colors has a certain effect on viewers. In addition, the texture is a very obvious element which defines as the outer surface characteristic of surfaces. In this work, the texture is solid, rough, and high reflective light. It is really a painting as a solid.
Puerta’s work is inspired by the relationship between nature and the body and/or dwelling. Puerta says” Nature is so omnipresent and magical”. Moreover, she believes that a new Series evolves when she introduces new material or when she starts with one idea that might be a bit different. Then tend to make a variation of the first While she is working on that piece she may get an idea for another piece and so she starts working on
