The case of Henrietta Lacks was a very strange case to me solely on the fact this doctor, Dr. George Otto Gey had gotten his hands on to Henrietta cervix that contained her healthy cells and her cancerous cells without her or her family’s knowledge of the experiments that was taking place. This is where a point of virtue ethics come into play. The scientist were using her organs for theories that could play a big role for character and virtue in moral philosophy rather than either doing one’s duty for some great consequences for their lives and also those around the world. Even though they had access to living cancer cells they should’ve notified the family of their experiments. To me his moral character was reliant on luck rather than using
