Met with Michael for his weekly counseling sessions. This writer and Michael discussed conflicting issues that Michael shared about the previous supervision note dated on 4/21/2017 as he felt the supervision note describes negativity on his work performance and arriving to supervision unprepared. Supervisor informed Michael that an email was sent to him on 4/3/2017 detailing the expectation of supervision and what counselors are suppose to come prepared with for discussion. On 4/21/2017, this writer informed Michael that he was not prepared and the comment to his supervision note commenting this, was not an insult. In addition, Michael also had a conflict with the supervision summary dated on 04/11/2017 about him not offering dose increases. …show more content…
Please note, Michael was provided with templates and samples to complete such task, referring to formulation, discharge summary, and aftercare/discharge summary. Overall, Supervisor have shared her experience as a counselor before becoming a Supervisor to Michael and understand Michael frustration of being overwhelmed. It’s matter of taking the time to practice and ask questions. In addition, organizational skills and time management, of which Michael is currently working on as he is still in his probation period and learning the clinical aspect as a counselor of HCRC.
