Jeff frantically yelled, “They’re closing on us! We will never find an escape route!” The cryptic creatures emerged from the surrounding woods. Their lanky bodies skimmed the branches of the dead oak trees. Their glowing eyes burned like hot, smoldering embers, peering into their mere essence of their being. Jeff, seemingly mesmerized by their glance stayed behind as a diversion while the rest of the group took off into the decaying woodlands. Jeff was slashed across his legs to withhold him from making his escape, by darting off into the brush.

The animals pale, blood soaked faces shimmered in the night. Ichabod studied his surroundings for an escape route, but to no avail.

The white, striped bloat swayed back and forth in the calm sea. The water shimmered and glistened in the late morning sun. The captain of the tour vessel greeted the enthusiastic tourists with a warm welcoming smile. He stood around five foot three and had a rough, wrinkled face, dried out by all of the year's out on the salty sea, gray curly hair and light blue eyes. “Hello, I’m Gus Tailor”, spoke the captain.
The descriptive and language provides a sense of serenity and lets you visualize the setting on the dock. “The water shimmered and glistened in the late morning sun” alludes to the time being some time around ten and twelve o’clock A.M. In this paragraph Gus, the captain, is characterized as a benevolent old man likely in his early sixties who is just about to introduce himself to the other characters.

The couples soon boarded the twenty by ten foot sailing vessel. “Who’s ready to explore a few islands?” The young couples smiled in excitement in hopes of seeing something different and exciting that will supply many stories they can one day be able to tell their children and their grandchildren. The boat kicked off with a mighty, thunderous roar. The water began to ripple underneath them as the propeller came to life. The boat skipped over the water's surface on route to the chain of islands. The islands that once appeared microscopic from the shore line soon augmented into a landmass that was bigger than they expected. Light brown palm trees with dark green feather like leaves loomed overhead, creating a sense of prosperity and tranquility, while hummingbirds flew around collecting nectar from the nearby honeysuckle
