The Museum of Fine Arts, located in Houston, has many types of art from various artists. Art at the museum was transpired and brought together from different parts of the world. Each artist has a unique depiction in the type of work that they portray in order to catch the viewer’s eye. The piece of work I chose to do my assignment on is “Susan Comforting the Baby,” by an Impressionist artist, Mary Cassatt.
Mary Cassatt was born in Pennsylvania in the year 1844, to a wealthy household. She started her schooling at the age of six, and began to study painting by the time she was fifteen at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She aspired to be a professional artist and made sure she would reach her goal somehow. She was incredibly skilled.
