The novel Ender’s Game was an intriguing book, primarily due to the feeling of anticipation that it evoked. Some people believe that the book progressed too slowly; however, in my opinion, the excitement of the book came not from how quickly the major events occurred, but from the way in which Card built up to those events. In the early parts of the book, the author gave readers the feeling of anticipation was by making the other kids want to physically assault Ender. For example, when Ender was promoted to commander and had control of his own army, there were boys in the hallways waiting for him to pass by alone so that they could attack him.
