Which stores are closed on Thanksgiving?

Summary: Costco, one of the few retail stores closed for Thanksgiving day, has an admiration toward its workers and allow them a day off as a token of appreciation. Costco has always remained closed on turkey day, along with other stores such as Home Depot and Nordstrom. Other retailer stores, such as Kmart are starting their black fridays on actual Thanksgiving day, a whole new twist to consumer spending.

Analysis: Between November 25 and December 2, we see a nice increase in stock price. It can be inferred that the week of November 25, (Thanksgiving week) consumer spending was at its low because of Costco’s closing hours on the holidays. Having shorter hours and being closed affected Costco’s performance level economically speaking. After Thanksgiving week, we see a rise in stock price. Why Costco’s Monthly Sales Accelerated Again

Summary: Costco’s sales in November were at its best levels compared to previous years. Costco made its strength mark in the U.S., with traffic up to 5% year-over-year. Food, hardlines, tires, and consumer electronics are doing well because of the rise in their digits. This is a good looking result because when compared to other U.S. retailer stores, others having a negative result.

Analysis: Between November 17 and November 25, we see that my stock price is stable in the 138. But by December 4, Costco is doing well consumption wise and we also notice that the stock price increases to 143.02. Costco is not only defeating its competitions, but providing goods and services at a rate customers highly value.
