One Imperfection With all of the technology advances people have been able to customize their child to their liking, attempting to create the perfect child. God can always intervene, he has the upper hand. In Gattaca directed and filmed by Andrew Niccol, the parents can modify their child not to get sick or to be good at something specific. Others will let it fall in God's hands and have faith. The society “plays God” in what it means to be human when parents try and create the perfect human, how people are separated in social classes, and destroying people's dreams. Creating the perfect human is impossible, no one is flawless, that is what makes you human. Unfortunately the monitor reads, (“HEART DISORDER - 99% - EARLY FATAL POTENTIAL. If there was an Invalid, using Vincent as an example, his heart condition and a very short life expectancy limits him from doing what he loves. If there was another Invalid capable of doing something to help the society like a cure to cancer or another life changing important thing the society would not know it because Invalids are never given equal opportunity. Like now in society once an individual gets to college they can study whatever they would like, there is not a rule saying someone needs to be a certain person or look a certain way to be a doctor.
