In the play, "The Crucible", written by A.Miller, the three women Tituba symbolizes slavery, Elizabeth exemplifies holy matrimony, and Abby personifies independence allowing different perspectives on Puritan society. Abigail Williams accuses Elizabeth Proctor of damaging her reputation and she wants to get rid of Elizabeth so she can be with John Proctor. During the trials, Abby made a puppet and when she was done she stuck a needle into it, so she accused Elizabeth of sending her spirit out to stab her. When they searched the Proctor house, they found the puppet with the needle in it.
