The group TLC is an all-time big selling female pop group in the1990s. The group TLC consisted of three female’s name Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas replaced the original "C" known as Crystal Jones. The group promotes sexual health and questioned social inequality in both their music and public image.
Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins as born in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 26, 1970.She tried out for a female group put together by singer Crystal Jones. The group consist of Tionne, Lisa, and Crystal.The group was called 2nd Nature. The group was changed to TLC after being signed to LaFace Records. The executive of LaFace Records also replaces Crystal Jones and sign Rozonda in her place.

WATERFALLS was written by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. The song talks about how a situation has consequences at the end. The song gives two heartbreaking moments of the loss of a son and a death of a man. The word WATERFALLS represent different situation in the two people’s lives. The loss of the son in the first verse of the song represents a mother protecting her son from inner city street life. The son thinks the fast life is the best road to take. He wants money and respect. As a results consequently, he deals drugs and dies from getting shot. The second verse in the song talks about who cheats and have casual sex with different women. His lust for women leads him die from HIV. The song uses the lyrics, “three letters took him to his final resting place”. The lyrics represent the big epidemic of AIDS. The song Waterfalls gives life scenarios of situations that goes on in the world. The group has helped to support AIDS awareness. For example the group wore condoms pinned to their clothes representing a political statement for safe sex and to stop unplanned pregnancy that leads to abortion.
