In life you have all kinds of chances to take different risks it's just a matter of if you're willing to take them or not. Life's too short not to take risks because you never know what could happen. In the story Beowulf there were many examples of how risks were taken throughout the story. There are three big battles in this story showing great risks and courage. The battle with Grendel, Grendel's mother, and the battle with the Dragon. Going into the battle with Grendel, Beowulf didn't know what to expect of Grendel he didn't truly know how powerful he was or anything, but Beowulf chose to take this risk and fight him without a question because he would do anything to protect his people and his men no matter what it took. In the Battle with Grendel's Mother, Beowulf had to go and find Grendel's mother at the bottom of this deep lake.
