Have you ever been outshined by anyone? In the popular children's book, The Story of the Three Little Pigs the third Pig has outshone his siblings and even the big bad Wolf. The third little Pig uses a smart choice of bricks to make his house, unlike his two siblings who used straw and furze. He also deceives the wolf numerous times, leaving the Wolf angered and feeling inferior. When the Wolf tries to trick the little Pig, he often goes earlier before the Wolf goes and finds ways to escape from becoming the Wolf’s dinner. In the story, the third Pig is the most admirable because he is the most clever, fearless, and ruthless.
First, the third little Pig was the most admirable because he is very clever. The little Pig displays this cleverness throughout many parts of the story. He proves he is more cunning by outsmarting his siblings and deceiving the Wolf a total of five times. The author writes, “And he threw it so far that, while the Wolf was gone to pick it up, the little Pig jumped down and ran home,” (Page 17). The little Pig

The Wolf has tried to kill and eat the little Pig many times, but the Pig has always been able to deceive the Wolf in one way or another to get out of a dreadful fate. The story states, “When the little Pig saw what he was about, he hung on the on the pot full of water, and made up a blazing fire, and, just as the Wolf was coming down, took off the cover of the pot, and in fell the Wolf. And the little Pig put on the cover again in an instant, boiled him up, and ate him for supper, and lived happy ever after.” (page 24) The Pig shows no mercy to the Wolf when he once again outsmarted the Wolf and kills him. The Pig does not give forgive the Wolf for all the wrong he tried to do, but takes a stand against the Wolf and shows himself to be more superior by taking a final barbaric action.
