Task A:

Havana Brown

Havana Brown or also known as DJ Havana Brown (birth name Angelique Meunier) was born on the 14th of February 1985 (age 30) in Melbourne Australia. Shortly of she was born she moved to Mauritian where her parents come from. Before her D Jing carrier she started a musical career and signed a record label in the United Kingdom with a group called Fishbowl. Without releasing a single album the group separated and then Brown started D Jing. After offering nightclub promoters to play for them for free, she went to regular appearances at concerts and parties in London. From then on she has had been fortunate enough to score supporting acts with Britney Spears circus tour, The Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown and Rihanna in Australia.

In 2007 Brown was nominated for best DJ at the Urban Music Awards and won Best DJ in Pop Republic Magazine’s. In 2008 Havana Brown signed with Universal Music Australia and has released several albums of her compilation series titled ‘Crave’. With mixed R&B and hip hop featuring in it. Crave Vol. 2 made it to the top five of the ARIA charts and over 50,000 units of the Crave series had already sold in a year. In April 2011, Brown released her debut single ‘ We Run The Night’. Which made to number five on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified triple platinum, selling over 210,000 copies.
