Technology has become a big part of everybody’s lives. Just like Microsoft says in the commercial, “Technology has the power to unite us’ (Empowering). Many people can say they use technology at least once a day. Whether it is using the radio, being on their phone, or watching television, many things have technology behind it. Most people take advantage of technology. People may not think about it when they are using, or doing all technical stuff in their lives. Microsoft effectively uses logos, ethos, and pathos showing people how technology runs their lives with everything they do. Others think it is all about phones and how people are addicted to them and what they don’t realize is how much more there is to technology. How others are so thankful that technology has become so advanced. They can now do things they never thought they would do again in their lives. People need to realize how much of an impact technology has on everyone and how great it is to have this opportunity. Possibly even people that believe technology is not important. Throughout the commercial, Microsoft uses examples of how technology has helped others. Some examples where people who suffer from diseases, that lost the ability to walk, see, or hear, quoted in the commercial, “It gives hope to the hopeless,” [and] “It has given voice to the voiceless” (Empowering). Watching this commercial can open many people’s eyes to realize the things they have in life and to not take advanced technology for granted.
