In the Brave New World, the world involved around technology. The civilization in the Brave New World is a perfect world that contains technology that did everything for the people. Although the world, seemed easier with technology, it also had really limited their society. Many young children at the age of five are using technology to provide their needs. For example, even at the meager age of five children are using technology to entertain themselves. In addition, technology had contributed a lot to comfort in one’s life. Children are conditioned to use technology so much that they begin to depend on it more often. By depending on technology so much, society allowed technology to replace the use of one’ mind. The children are conditioned to use technology when they grow up. In addition, the children that will become adults later on would not know how to function without technology because it prevents their ability to think. Although some are unaware of the consequences of using the drugs, more and more people are using drugs to relieve their pain. In the Brave New World, soma is used to treat everyone in the civilized world. Soma gives relief to the person to stop the pain and discomfort that they have. Soma is a governmentally provided drug to give the people living in Brave New World. Huxley predicted the reality of our life because more and more drugs will be used. Soma is the best tool that government has to control the population. For instance,it sedates,calms, and distracts a person from knowing what is wrong and right.
