Ted Bundy was a product of his environment, family, mental state, biology, and unknown genetics. When Ted Bundy found out his entire life was a lie, it caused a negative impact on his mental state. From a smart athletic boy, Ted Bundy turned into an antisocial psychopathic rapist killer who felt as if he was an alien among humans. Unable to feel what others felt, he took theater classes in order to further manipulate people into his twisted games where the other player became a victim of assault, rape, and death. The theory and model chosen explain how Ted Bundy reaction of the negative realization of his life, his environment, and his biology was all a part of his pathway to becoming a sexual assailant. In the quadripartite model of sexual aggression against adults by Hall and Hirschman, Ted Bundy exhibited that he had all four factors starting with “physiological sexual arousal, cognitions that justify sexual aggression, affective dyscontrol and (to) personality problems” (Wong, 2016, p.287). …show more content…
However, the theories ignore the genetic influence of the unknown father figure where Ted Bundy had his genetic gene pool from. The influence of a negative sexual experience or internal triggers that caused him to act aggressively were also ignored.
