Amber and Gary are originally from the show 16 and Pregnant and are currently seen on the show Teen Mom OG’s. Amber and Gary have a daughter together named Leah who is about nine years old. Amber and Gary are both currently in new relationships, Gary is married to his wife Kristina, Amber and her boyfriend Andrew are expecting their first child together. In the past when Amber and Gary were in a relationship it was physically abusive, Amber was seen on camera punching Gary. This physical abuse against Gary and drug use lead to Amber going to jail for about two years. Amber struggles with staying clean from drugs and she also has trouble with her depression and bipolar disorder.
Currently as seen on the show Amber and Gary do not have a very good relationship. Part of the problem seems to be Gary not understanding Amber is bipolar and has depression. A lot of the scenes Gary is in consist of him talking badly about Amber with Kristina. Gary believes Amber does not make Leah a priority and seen on the show Leah might feel the same way. Allegedly Leah told Kristina “mommy has time for a new boyfriend, but not for me”. Amber does seem to make excuses to not see Leah one of them being she was sick and did not want to risk Leah catching it. This would not be an option for a parent with full custody of their child their around their child

She has made comments in the past that show she needs a man to be happy. At one point she stated she was suicidal after her breakup and her current boyfriend is the one who kept her from committing suicide. Amber’s need to be in a relationship to be happy is something that should be addressed in counseling to figure out the reason behind it .Their issues seem to be fixable through communication and talking about what their expectations are for each other. Also talking about the past and apologizing for past mistakes because they both seem to hold resent towards each
