A full set of teeth does much more than help you eat. It maintains the integrity of your jawbone and keeps teeth in their place. When you have a missing tooth, even if it is in the back of your mouth and cannot be seen, there is a chance your teeth will shift. This means they will become crowded in some places and leave gaps in others. They will push other teeth out of place and start to overlap.
