The last article I chose for this week its called Looking at Productivity as a State of Mind written by Mullainathan Sendhil. The article talk about two experiment by major economist, tracked the productivity of Indian data entry workers for over a year. These workers were well motivated and their pay depended directly on how much data they entered. and also the article talks about another experiment of people working in calls center and people working from home. and how people working at home are more efficient than those in call centers. let me start by introducing you with a book definition of labor productivity. is determined how much a worker can produce per unit of time.(per hour, week, month). Every job is totally different and also the expectation are different. when do you work at home basically you do not have a manager on top of you and you are working in a free environment. You do not have a clock in or a clock out time, the only time thing you need to do is complete the work given by your managers. this mean you have more chances to comply your work and get the most of your productivity. by working in a warehouse lifting boxes employees have no other choices than comply with the rules. they have a clock in time and not sure about what time they would
