2. Describe what you observed through the telescope. Try to be as detailed and specific as possible. For example, describe the color, shape, or brightness of each object. Describe only what you saw through the telescope, NOT what you think it should look like or what it looks like in pictures. If the view through the telescope varied much from your expectations, please describe how and explain why you think the objects look different.

The first object I observed through the telescope is called the Albireo star. Looking up at the sky with the naked eye, I observed the Albireo star. However, I could not see that it is composed of two stars. They are closer together, so it is difficult to tell they are separate without the use of magnification. After looking through the telescope, I was able to observe the star for what it really is: a binary star. Albireo A is a lighter color than Albireo B. Albireo A is an

Even though there are many star clusters located in the solar system, there are specific types of star clusters that can be categorized. These types include an open cluster, associations, and a globular cluster. The Wild Duck Cluster is considered an open cluster, according to nasa.gov. All of the star clusters are valuable to astronomers. Astronomy: A Beginner’s Guide to the Universe states “stars in clusters are useful to aid our understanding of stellar evolution because, within a given cluster, stars are all roughly the same age and chemical composition and lie roughly the same distance from Earth.” The same gases, conditions, and place form these stars, so they are ideal for astronomers to work with. The only main difference between the stars is their masses. Stellar evolution is an important piece of studying astronomy, and star clusters aid in learning about this subject. Therefore, star clusters are very significant for one to
