Transcendentalism is where people feel empowered and their surroundings surpass their five senses. The Article i read was “What’s the Universe Made Of? Math, Says Scientist” by Tanya Lewis. It was about how everyone in the universe including humans are part of a mathematical structure. This piece had different tenets of Transcendentalism in it. For example, “nature is full of patterns, such as the Fibonacci sequence, a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the previous two numbers”(Tegmark), this represents nature because it talks about how math and nature are the same.
