Terra Nova was produced in Malcolm Ford Theatre February 24 through the 28th. Malcolm Ford Theatre is located in Curtis Hall on Saginaw Valley State University’s campus. Classified as a proscenium theatre, Saginaw Valley’s theatre can seat up to 525 people. While I have only ever been to the beautiful Temple Theatre, Saginaw Valley’s theatre is also beautiful in a less extravagant way. Malcolm Ford Theatre is very well kept, the floors, chairs and walls seem to be quite clean even through the theatre’s wear and tear throughout the years. While Malcolm Theatre has enough seats to classify it as a Broadway size theatre, there is enough room between seats to comfortably seat each individual person. During their journey Captain Robert Scott is frequently bombarded with flashbacks to his wife and son at home while he and his crew struggle to travel without the help of dogs.
