Terry Fox was a public figure that loved playing basketball, soccer, rugby and baseball. When Terry was 19 he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. He had a mom (Betty Fox), a dad (Rolly Fox), Sister (Judith Fox), Brother (Darrell Fox) and another brother (Fred Fox).

Terrys cancer was Osteogenic Sarcoma which is a cancer that starts in the bone. It often starts in the ends of the bones where new bone tissue forms as Terry was entering his adult life. Bones in the thigh, upper arm, and shin are the most common places for this type of cancer, but Osteogenic Sarcoma can occur
