As a millennial born in 1998, computers have been ever present in my life, even as a young child my parents gave me an old computer to experiment with on my own. I have developed my skills and interest thru several years of Project Lead the Way Engineering classes in High School and am applying to Texas A&M University’s College of Education and Human Development in College Station as a transfer student into the Technology Management Program. This program seems a great fit for me as I enjoy working with computers and solving problems, I am an introvert but have the skills to direct a group in the completion of a task. I hope to work for a large corporation one day helping to develop and implement strategies to move the corporation forward in a positive and efficient manner. …show more content…
TCC has been a great stepping stone for my educational career as it let me complete many of the required courses in a more affordable manner, also allowing me to become accustomed to college-level work. I feel using the community school programs is an amazing way to get started in college and while you miss out on dorm life it is a wise choice in conserving funds to assist in finishing college free of debt. Presently my GPA is a 3.2 which is above the admission threshold but that does not mean I will become complacent as I realize a 3.2 has much room for improvement. I met with Texas A&M transfer advisor Bunmi Jaiyeola in Arlington last spring and attended the Transfer Seminar in August 2017 on campus, it was very informative and helpful.
