I am graduating in twenty-five days, that is scary but exciting. Through my last semester here at Texas Tech and in my undergraduate, I have noticed a dramatic change in how I do my assignments and overall academically. I feel like I am more on top of my assignments and doing a lot better on my tests. Of course, with a little fails due to senioritis. I know particularly in this class I have missed assignments due to either me not wanting to do the assignment and forgetting since its due on a random day that none of my classes have ever used. Other than missing a few assignments I am still doing rather well in my classes which is a feeling I have never felt in my other semesters. I had to decide what I am doing after college like a career, living etc. While here at Texas Tech I thought life was hard, trying to wake myself up to go to classes and doing countless/endless work which I had to get a good grade. Going to college gives you a lot of independence and seemed to be the start of being an adult. But now knowing all that’s needed outside of college, I have been shown real independence, having to be a real adult by paying all of your bills and not having a roommate. Learning the importance of having a schedule and having a budget. I used to spend a lot of money on things rather than spending it on the expenses like rent/utilities and my …show more content…
Who I feel has matured in so many ways and became a well-rounded person. Someone who learned what is important and what should be secondary thought. What I have learned this semester that I feel will be valued to pass down to other students is to keep multiple calendars or at least one that is mounted on the wall and keep it updated so you never forget an assignment. Try to do every assignment and the extra credit just in case so you wont panic come the end of the semester. I won’t say it is impossible to bring your grade up last minute, but I don’t recommend it because it puts a lot of stress on yourself and you won’t make the best grade. Coming into college is very exciting, to have freedom to pick your classes and at what time but with freedom comes independence and responsibility. My advice is to take school seriously but don’t stress yourself out too much, it won’t be the end of the world if you fail a class. Try your hardest and enjoy it as much as you can because once you graduate it’s the real world and
