Texting and walking Banned, or Common Sense
Texting and walking is bad as it is but doing it while walking across a crosswalk is taking it to far. Lots of people are already banning this and making it a law. While this would be a good idea this would be hard to check on while the law can't see what people are doing while they walk. So it could be banned, but shouldn't it just be common sense, or is it that bad that it needs to be a law. This should not pass as a law as it should be common sense and people just need to pay attention to where they are walking.
People should just looking while their crossing the street as common sense. Why are parents not doing anything shouldn't they be telling their kids “get off your phone while crossing the street.” Evidence shows that kids are becoming cell phone zombies. “Unfortunately, many of our children are turning into cell phone zombies.” This shows that parents are obviously not looking at their child and then realizing they are on their phone too much that they can't even realize their environment. Why are drivers going so fast that they can't even see that a kid is walking? It's not only the phones but also the drivers that pay absolutely no attention. They should be able to stop and see that their is a kid walking. Then again drivers don't pay attention at all and don’t care these days. I always make sure I look both ways but I also always listen for cars that might be going too fast. Most of the time its teenagers driving recklessly and not even thinking about other people. It is not only because of texting and walking but also drivers “In 2015, 2,333 teens in the United States ages 16–19 were killed.” This is proof that teens and driving is a big problem and should be also common sense to drive safely to keep those who are glued on their phone from being killed for a dumb
