Texting Essay

Texting can cause many problems in our daily lives. And the source it comes from... Is simply a 2” by 4” piece of hardware. Texting may cause conflicts and you may not even realize it. There are many things such as fights with people or losing opportunities these conflicts with texting may lead to. Imagine a life of lost chances because of too much time spent on a little piece hardware.

Using our phones all day to text can affect our lives and how we develop socially. The social development theory explains that social development is crucial to our lives. The theory states that social development helps us to aim towards our goals and find our direction to our wants and needs. Imagine if you lost the ability to go to college because of texting. It isn’t as small of a subject as you may think. Even when applying towards a job. If you had poor social skills during an interview because of texting, imagine what a shame it must have been to lose that opportunity. Visualizing yourself as an unemployed person from lack in social development because you couldn’t steer yourself in the correct direction to achieve your goal.

Whether or not you’re a girl or a boy, I am sure you’ve had a friend read a message and take it the wrong way. Just because you read something in your mind and send it, it does not mean the receiver will interpret the message as you meant it to be perceived. You may read it over and construe it in a happy mood, when sometimes the receiver may take it as you are unhappy or upset. When you read texts, they are simply words. They are words that everyone interprets differently. Even the word “hey” can be interpreted in the mind in many ways. It may seem demanding or as a greeting, already misleading the receiver. Just
