Always be kind. It's really all that matters, because it makes people feel good about them self's and others. In the short story "Thank you Ma'am" by Langston Hughes, and the short story "Brother can you spare a dream" by Jackie French Kollar. Both stories have moment of showing the theme "Be Kind to everyone". In "Thank you ma'am ", Mrs. J was really nice to a boy even though the boy stole from her, and in "Brother can you spare a dream" Sam was also really nice to a man named mac even though mac stole from him. In both stories you will see the theme "Always be kind" in many instances.
No matter what be kind. In the short story "Thank you ma'am" a boy ran up to Mrs. J and tried to run away with her purse. Of course, he didn’t get away with her purse. Instead Mrs. J picked up the boy and shook him. After she made him pick up her purse. She brought him back to her house. She saw how dirty boy was and probably figured that he needed the money he tried to steal. So, she fed him and taught him manners. Which this is

In this story "Brother can you spare a dream " A boy is living in the great depression. The boy named Sam has found a job that pays 4 dollars a day. That is a lot of money for the time they were living in. When Sam applied for the job. The people running it said" This job is only for out of towners" So when he didn’t get the job, the guy who did named Mac, had to live with them. Sam didn’t really like Mac, because he got the job. After working the job for a few weeks Mac broke his leg. Now mac couldn’t work. So, Sam jumped straight into Macs place. Sam made a lot of money, but since mac still needed to go to college and buy text books, he stole the money. Even though he stole the money Sam let it go, and let him have the money, because he`s a nice person and he knew mac needed it more. That example shows how being nice will help someone out and make them feel good. Even though Mac stole the money Sam let him take
