In the article "The America I Love," Elie Wiesel gives a humbling account of what of life in America means to him in comparison to life as a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. Mr. Wiesel has seen the best of America as well as the worst and still shows extreme pride in being an America citizen.

This very moving article began when Mr. Wiesel was discussing the first time that he had any American interaction. He was dying in a concentration camp and was rescued by two American soldiers who were so overcome with emotion that they were unable to speak to him. This was the day that Wiesel's love for America began. He states clearly throughout the entire article how grateful he is to live in the United States. As an American citizen, I am often
