The Baroque time period (1600-1750), was a very diverse period of time, taking place between the Renaissance (1475) and Classical (1750) periods. Originating from Rome, Italy through the European cultures a new creative, undisciplined artistic style developed. Guisepi, the term baroque meant “irregular” and exhibited traits of power, emotions, and adventure. This time originated with the Catholic church sector and grew to the royal courts. Its historical period symbolized emerging power and new monarchies. Personal interpretations of the baroque period arts will be described by reference to a particular painting, music composition, dance and play.

The dancer wore a majestic style costume and performed in a royal manner. The music appeared to be orchestra instruments that flowed in rhythm with the dancer. The dancer and the music was of the same repitious tone throughout the piece. This dance was completed with confidence and royal grace.
A famous poem of the Baroque time period was written by John Milton, Paradise Lost (1667). The novel deals with the fall of man and the protagonist being Satan. This referencing the symbols of religion, power, and human nature. All values reflected during this time period.
In conclusion, the Baroque time period of 1600-1750, was very interesting and important in bridging together the older Renaissance period and the new Classical period. The symbols of religion, power, creativity and emotions proved to be the important elements in shaping the historical art of painting, music, dance and literature of the Baroque time
