Who Discovered The America’s First?

Historians believed that the Beringia theory was true until now. Archaeologists have found new discoveries of who really discovered the America’s first. The four main theories are the Beringia theory, the South Pacific\ Atlantic Theory, Maritime theory, and the Solutrean theory. Each theory is based upon a different way humans got to the America’s. This article will explain the theories and which one seems the most plausible.

The Beringia theory has been the traditional theory, everyone thought was true up until now. The Beringia theory is located in the Bering Strait area and was believed to be around 11,500 years ago. A land bridge was created above the

The most plausible theory is the Solutrean theory though. There is three different sites that all have evidence of 18,000 year old tools. The Solutrean theory was the only theory, where the humans traveled along the east Coast. How else would those tools have got there. The Beringia theory couldn't have made those tools because they found tools 11,000 years ago. Besides the tools are different that were found 18,000 years ago. They had smoother edges and didn’t have a fluted base. The South Pacific theory seems to be not as very plausible. They are saying that humans crossed over the Pacific ocean and landed in Monte Verde. That seems very impossible. Although crossing from north Africa to Brazil seems very plausible indeed. How else could have the skulls got there. It wasn’t just a coincident that the skulls were there. They even shared traits with the North Africans according to Mark Hubbe and Walter Neves. The only reason that isn’t the most plausible is because of the dates. The skulls were found 11,000 years ago. The pre clovis tool were found 18,000 years ago. The Maritime theory is the same way. They could have easily migrated down the Pacific Coast. There was plentiful food resources and they could stop wherever they wanted. This theory would explain the Monte Verde settlement 12,500 ago according to the Smithsonian Institution. Why isn’t there any other evidence. It isn’t like every human traveled down to Monte Verde. Most probably stopped earlier. There is no evidence besides Monte Verde. Also, even if everyone went to Monte Verde the dates are different. Monte verde was 12,500 years ago whereas the Solutrean theory was 18,000 years
