“I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” Yes, this is a quote from The Big Bad Wolf himself. I’m assuming you’ve heard of Mr. Wolf, but if you haven’t, well you’re living under a rock. If you even asked someone if they thought The Big Bad Wolf was a hero or villain, they'd definitely say a villain and I can see why considering he’s a raving beast who does anything to satisfy his hunger, but I see it a little bit different. In this essay I will explain to you why The Big Bad Wolf is a hero.
Let’s start off with a classic children’s story called The Three Little Pigs. In this particular story, The Big Bad Wolf is an evil predator who tries to eat the little pigs after their mother sends them off to live on their own. The pigs each build their own house, one being made of straw, one being made of sticks, and one being made of bricks. The Boy who Cried Wolf is a story about a village boy who kept crying wolf. He would yell stating that there was a wolf and he needed help, but when people came, there was no wolf. The boy thought it was funny and kept declaring that he seena wolf. People kept coming to help, but eventually, as the boy lied over and over about the wolf, people stopped coming. One day the boy really seen a wolf and cried for help, but no one came because they all thought it was a lie. The boy was eaten by the wolf and never seen again. In this story the wolf teaches us another lesson. He teaches us that sometimes when you lie or joke about serious things, even though it may seem funny, it can be extremely dangerous and get you in bad situations. The consequences of lying over and over can be extremely effective and put you in danger or in some situations, get you or someone else
