For this week I had the opportunity to attend Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s lecture on his books and how he came up the idea for them. Along with his books he discussed how he got interested in African Americans Studies and then got his doctorate in it. I also hope to include how his lecture has a connection to the material that we are going over in class currently. Dr. Kendi wrote two different books so far. He has written a book called, The Black Campus Movement: Black Students and the Racial Reconstitution of Higher Education. In this book he wrote about the movements that were created by African American students as they fought to bring African American studies to Universities and other colleges. Dr. Kendi told us about how these students would
