The Blob really showed how your life can be consumed if you would be contacted by it. The blob was a slow moving red or dark mud track moving or taking over what it would touch, and as it rolled or squeezed its way in, it grew, or became, larger and larger. There was no place that you could run or hide from where it could not get you. If you wanted to be free and safe, you could not be in its pathway: you must avoid being attacked by the slow rolling mud in order to survive. You had to run as fast as you could and there was nothing that could stop it.
