Guilt is a big part of the story being based around Liesel, and the other characters throughout the Novel. When talking about Liesel and how she shows guilt throughout the book, when she starts stealing book from another character in the book but she does know that stealing is wrong, also noticing the guilt came out when she feels that she should continue what she is doing by stealing the books, once continuing on with the book Liesel gave up on convincing herself to stop stealing the books which is showing also of shame and quilt in the one section of the book. Personal I have had no experience of guilt and shame Max was wrecked with the anguish and the guilt over leaving his family to save himself, He was also making sure that is was not to put other in danger for his own life, but thought he couldn’t have saved his in tier family. “Just give him five more minutes and he would surely fall into the German gutter and die. They would all let him and they would all let him, and they would all watch” I would never risk my family for anything bad that include guilt or shame. The author links guilt into the book well explaining how the way Max guilty after leaving his family to save his own life. Not only Max but Liesel Stealing books trying to make up her mind weather to stop stealing on to continue the
