Gary Taubes, a well known health journalist and the author of The case against sugar, in his article highlights the ongoing debate on effects of sugar intake. The argument by experts that sugar is a fattening food has been pulled down once again by industrialists in their advertisements displaying “A calorie is a calorie”, that all foods that supply calories are same be it sugar or ice cream of grapefruit.
