No matter your beliefs, you will always have courage in your soul; Learning how to channel your courage is what stops fright from getting in your way. Whereas courage still allows consternation throughout your thoughts, bravery is the act of approaching something that would be frightful to the majority of people, while you have no sense of fear at all . The Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz did not understand the meaning of courage, thinking he wasn’t courageous nor brave. He understood courage to be the act of having no fear towards thrilling circumstances, which in reality is bravery. Upon arriving The Great and Powerful Oz, the Cowardly Lion asks the Wizard for courage, which in turn he requires a medal serving as the courage he always wished for. The biggest example of courage in my present life is trying out for Sophomore Lieutenant for Starlettes. The audition process is a solo routine choreographed by yourself, followed by three interviews. For me, being someone who does not feel comfortable performing alone or giving public speeches, I’ve been forced to have courage take over me and compel me to keep going through this riveting experience. I don’t only use courage in my dancing; In school, I have to give presentations to my classes often, but by using courage I am able to continue even with a sense of anxiety or panic. I believe that the word courage is used too loosely. People use courage as a word to describe confidence in actions or as having no fear. Courage isn’t about not getting scared of something, it is about doing your best and pushing through those times of fright and
