Thanks to the declaration of independence common sense we now have rights that people didn’t have before. The desire of liberty spurred the American revolutionary war by the oppression of King George lll unfair taxes and stamp laws, and their lack of rights.

The oppression of the king George lll led to declaration of independence for example. “He is at this time transporting large armies of foreign. Mercenaries to complete the works of death desolation, and tyranny already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy”. (Declaration of independence page 145). This quote means the king had too much power. “He has incited treasonable insurrection of our fellow citizens, with the allurements of forfeiture and confiscation of our property”. (Declaration of independence page 145). This quote means the king are angry. The reason was the king treated them bad they wanted to break free and they wanted to fight for their independence.

The unfair taxes and stamp act we have rights that people for example. “Parliament passed the stamp act, a taxation measure to raise revenues for a standing British army in America”. This quote means the benefits of the people. “Whit its enactment, on, November1, 1765 most colonist called for a boycott of British goods and some organized attacks on the customhouse and homes of tax collectors”. This quote means people are angry. The reason was the king no wanted to give the rights to the people.

The lack of rights, representation people have
