Before reading The Devils Arithmetic’s I thought it would be about the devil killing people, well I was wrong. It’s really about the Nazi moving to jews to the east to take the life they want to live away from them. I also watch the movie it was the same but its also very different.You should take my advice and read the book you'll like it. First, I will tell you about the novel. Hannah is a 13 year old girl with braces, who doesn't want to go to the passover with her family. The Passover is celebration done by the jews on the first day after easter. Hannah was drinking wine at the passover and got a headache then, she took a nap. While Hannah was napping she started to dream. In her dream she was with the jews she was treated like a jew, acted like a jew …show more content…
When they arrived at the camp they change clothes and goes to bed. In the morning they get their numbers put on them by a hot iron. While their working hannah friends gets sick and hannah risk her life for her. All the people that wasn't working or sick get taken to a hole and was told to get undress, and was killed by a gas.Soon after hannah woke up from her dream, and her family was all around her worried. Then her and her aunt eva ask everyone to leave to talk about her dream.
 The movie and novel are very alike in many ways. During this time period Hannah was a teenager that didn't think the passover was fun or important. When she started to dream all the jews were move to the east. They both had to put numbers on the body so the nazi’s would know who they were.They had to dig the grave for when they were killed by the nazi, but they didn't know that.At the end Hannah and her family was sing a song together at the
